Yasuko Fuchs

Yasuko Fuchs, born in Japan, studied at the Kunitachi College in Tokyo under Prof. A. Miyamoto and at the Vienna Conservatory University of Music and Performing Arts with Prof. G. Hechtl from which she completed her diploma examination with honors.

Fuchs is a prize winner at the International Competition for Woodwind Chamber Music in Graz. From 1989 to 1995, she was a professor at the Vienna Conservatory University of Music and Performing Arts in the concert flute discipline. She has been active in the Volksoper Vienna and the Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna.

She has lived in Berlin since 1994 and continues her activity there as a soloist, orchestra musician and chamber musician. Yasuko Fuchs regularly performs as a soloist in the Berlin Philharmonie and plays with the members of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra as a stand-in as well as in other orchestras.

She has been performing with The Berlin Residence Orchestra since 2006.
